do hereby waive any and all claims for damages against Fernan Rod & Gun Club (FRGC), its members, officers, or owners
of any area where FRGC activities may
take place arising from my participation in any FRGC activity. I
further agree to abide by all safety regulations of FRGC
and I understand that failure to comply with said regulations will result in my
suspension from FRGC, or removal from
the activity. I further certify
that I am over 18 years of age or have the permission to participate and am
accompanied by a legal guardian or parent during my participation I FRGC
activities, that I have never been convicted of a crime of violence, nor am I
currently under indictment for a felony. I further state that the skills learned
through FRGC will be used for sport or legitimate self-defense.
I understand that I will not be allowed to participate in FRGC
activities unless FRGC has this Waiver of Damages completed by me or my legal guardian or parent in
its possession prior to my registering to participate in said activities.

The
primary purpose of the FERNAN ROD &
GUN CLUB (FRGC), a shooting organization, is to support and promote an
understanding of the rights and responsibilities guaranteed by the 2nd
Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Shooter
education, in the form of safe, responsible, and lawful use of firearms, is the
only training available in conjunction with FRGC.
It
is not the purpose of FRGC to be a
political forum for subjects other than the legitimate rights of firearm owners,
as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.
FRGC members and participants in FRGC functions are required to meet certain tests of skill,
knowledge, and reputability.
SKILL: FRGC
members and participants in FRGC
functions must successfully demonstrate safe gun handling skills and a concern
for same. NO SHOOTER, whether
participant or member, shall use the range facility uncoached without passing
the safety check. There will be NO
EXCEPTIONS!
KNOWLEDGE:
FRGC members and participants
in FRGC functions must successfully
demonstrate knowledge of and concern for the application of safe firearm
handling. Such elements are
discussed in the National Rifle Association and other publications, and are
uniformly taught by safety certified individuals in FRGC.
REPUTABILITY:
Persons who espouse the violent overthrow of the government of the United
States; intentionally support the deprivation of civil liberties of any
individual without the due process of law; intentionally support the belligerent
harassment of any individual because of their race, sex,
national origin, or beliefs; or are prohibited from possessing a firearm
under the laws of the United States are specifically not eligible to participate
in FRGC functions or hold membership
in FRGC.
I
have read and understand the purpose and requirements of the Fernan Rod & Gun Club
as stated above and that it is my sincere intention not to violate their
prohibitions.
